Perception vs. Reality

I challenge the theory that perception is reality. How we see ourselves, on many levels, is rarely in fact the way we truly are. I see this so often in the self-defense world where people indulge their egos with false confidence and security from some ill warranted perception they hold of themselves and their abilities. Refusing to seek training, all the while beating their chests and declaring their self-perceived sheepdog status. Unfortunately, in reality they are just another dog. Never stop learning, never stop training, and never stop fighting. Stay safe.
